Local USB drives and manual copy jobs can help, but they are easy to skip, lose, or leave disconnected when something goes wrong. This service backs up covered computers automatically to encrypted storage off-site (based in Alaska), with in-person support when you need to get data back. You get ongoing protection without running the backup routine yourself.

What are snapshots?

A snapshot is a point-in-time copy of your data, captured on a schedule. If someone deletes the wrong file, ransomware strikes, or a drive fails, we can often restore from an earlier snapshot instead of starting from scratch. You are not limited to “last night’s backup only”—we keep several layers of history so recent mistakes and older problems both have a path to recovery.

Our system retains:

  • 8 hourly snapshots
  • 7 daily snapshots
  • 4 weekly snapshots
  • 1 monthly snapshot
  • 1 yearly snapshot

How it works

Each covered computer is configured for automatic off-site backups. We apply a retention policy that keeps the mix of hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly snapshots listed above, so you have both recent restore points and longer history. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. When you need a file, folder, or broader recovery, we help you choose the right snapshot and restore what you need.

Good fit for

  • Offices that cannot afford long outages or total data loss
  • Anyone who has outgrown ad-hoc USB copies but does not want to run their own data center

Not included

  • Storage beyond your plan tier (often priced per device or capacity tier)
  • Archival legal hold or long-term compliance archiving unless we agree to it separately
  • Deep, application-specific backup tuning for unusual databases without a separate statement of work
